A Dave Omelet - A Dave Day

I woke up this morning and the thermometer read a whopping 9 degrees. I made coffee, let the cat out, he seems to enjoy this weather, and decided to scrap any plans for outside work. I grabbed a quick shower, read the paper over two cups of coffee and 3 smokes and decided to make everyone breakfast.

Bacon is cooking now, I've chopped up some Black Forrest ham, onions, green peppers and jalapenos. I bought some excellent sharp cheddar the other day that I am grating up now, the pepper jack is next. Someone gave me a new omelet pan for Christmas, so I am going to try it out, though I prefer to make one in the cast iron pan.

Once the omelet is done, I'll put some salsa on top, plate it up with the bacon and some fried potatoes and feed everyone in front of the fire in the living room (for those that don't know, the Two Story Double Wide has 6 fireplaces).

The forecast is calling for us to remain with freezing temps for the next 3 days and snow on Sunday.

I have a feeling I will be doing a lot of cooking over the long weekend.

Parent of the Week

This freak decides that $16,000, 150 cases of beer, 150 cases of soda and Gatorade, and several cases of wine and meat was a good deal for his daughter. He only went to police when he didn't receive his payment. Should have hire a recovery agent. Could have kicked the morons ass before calling the cops.

At least there is a prison in the town he lives in.

Metal in an MRI?

I have had a few MRI's in the last few years for my knee and back issues and have always wondered what would happen if metal came into play with the machine.
